# Angophora

_**Angophora**_ is a genus of flowering plants in the myrtle family, [Myrtaceae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrtaceae), described as a genus in 1797. It is [endemic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endemism) to [Australia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia), where species are distributed in [Queensland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queensland), [New South Wales](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales), and [Victoria](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_(Australia)). The [centre of diversity](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_of_diversity) is along the northern and central coast of New South Wales.
