# Chrysocephalum

_**Chrysocephalum**_, known by the common name **everlastings** for their long life as cut flowers, is a [genus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genus) of [flowering plants](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flowering_plant) in the family [Asteraceae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asteraceae). There are six species, all of which were formerly classified under other genera ( _[Helichrysum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helichrysum)_, _[Helipterum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helipterum)_ and _[Leptorhynchos](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leptorhynchos_(plant))_).
