# Acacia floribunda

_**Acacia floribunda**_ is a perennial evergreen shrub or tree. It is native to [New South Wales](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales), [Queensland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queensland) and [Victoria](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_(Australia)), but is cultivated extensively, and has naturalised in [South Australia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Australia), [Tasmania](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasmania) and [Western Australia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Australia), and also in [Indonesia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesia), [Mauritius](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauritius) and northern [New Zealand](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand). Common names for it include **gossamer wattle**, **weeping acacia** and **white sallow wattle**. It grows up to 6m in height, but there is a commercial form available which only grows to about 1m tall. Its cream-coloured flowers occur in the early Spring (August to September in the [southern hemisphere](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_hemisphere)).
